Wood Apex Blackbird Nest Box

Open fronted nestbox for garden birds that prefer a room with a view. Blackbirds, Robins, Wrens, Flycatchers, Redstarts, Wagtails and other species that prefer a deep nestbox with an open front and sides. Some species like Blackbirds prefer to have good visibility while nesting so this box is a great start.

The Apex Blackbird Nest Box is made from 100% sustainable FSC certified European timber. Each nest box has a deep nesting chamber to create an ample nest to raise a brood and it also makes it easy for cleaning and maintenance in the autumn when most birds are taking a break from raising a family. Constructed using wood from managed forests for excellent insulation and strength. No painting, varnishing or preservatives required.

Siting and Positioning:
It is suitable for sheltered spot with some shade, trees, shrubs, Ivy, and walls or even tall posts in a quiet spot will help. With yearly cleaning and maintenance it will give you and your garden visiting birds years of service. The box should be placed at least two metres above ground level with a clear flight path to the entrance hole. The box should be sited so that the entrance is not exposed to strong sunlight or winds.

Cleaning:
Super easy because the nexting chamber is open.

Cleaning should be done between breeding seasons and please do not disturb the birds while the box is being used
