Ecopond Tadpole Food contains vegetable based flakes for the early stages of a tadpoles development. Newly hatched and young Tadpoles eat a vegetable diet in the first weeks. In the early stage tadpoles generally stay near to one area like a stone or plant pot and eat the algae and other microscopic greens around it.
This vegetable flake Tadpole Food will provide a useful suppliment to ensure the tadpoles in your pond or tank get enough food to get a good start in life. Just one small pinch a day in a pond is enough and they can be fed this stage food for up to 6 weeks after hatching or when their back legs start to develop.
Suitable for Frogs, Toads, and Newt tadpoles in ponds and tanks, this food promotes steady and healthy growth for young amphibians.
*You may find the occasional bird or hedgehog trying to get at any floating flakes so please have a way for wildlife to get out of the pond like a wildlife ladder and feed only in shallow areas.
*As with all things where water is concerned you only need to feed very little at a time, left over food may cause pond pollution problems
