How to Use

• Before you fill remove the cover.
• Inspect your hot water bottle for splits, holes and any other damage, including the stopper, every time you use it. If uncertain discard the bottle, the wool cover can be reused.
• Used boiled water that has cooled to a comfortable temperature 50-60 Celcius for adults. Carefully fill the bottle.
• Do not use boiling water or hot water from the tap as both of these can be dangerous and can damage or shorten the life of your hot water bottle.
• Do not over fill, use 2 thirds of the bottle for the water as it can burst if over full. push the air out before tightening the stopper.
• Dry the bottle and pop back into the cover.
• If you need to use the hot water bottle again always empty it completely and add fresh water. Hot water bottles should never be reheated, nor microwave, nor grill, nor oven, this will damage the bottle.
• Always use the cover or a towel and never apply the bottle direct to your skin. Avoid holding or keeping the bottle in one place on your body for too long.
• If a child or vulnerable person is using a hot water bottle the water should be under 40C and make sure there is always a responsible adult monitoring it’s use at all times.
• Once the bottle has cooled, remove the cover and empty the bottle and dry the bottle and stopper
• Never ingest the water that has been used in the hot water bottle

Nb. Hot water bottles need changing at least once every 5 years or follow any expiry date advice, even if it has no damage, it will degrade over time. You can still use the wool cover with another hot water bottle of the same size and shape.
