Description
Mini Ladybird Tower
Our gardens need beneficial insects, they help keep other insect numbers in balance Ladybird larvae for example eat many aphids and can eat around 5,000 in it’s whole life time. They eat other things as well but aphids appear to be a particular favourite.
Designed for ladybirds and other beneficial insects the Mini Ladybird Tower helps to provide extra safety and security especially in poor weather and even overwinter. Each Ladybird tower is made with a hollow central chamber which you can fill with dried grass or straw for insulation for beneficial insects. Access to this central chamber is through the holes drilled into the log which also has a sloped roof to protect the central chamber. As a natural air-dried FSC-certified timber logs the appearance, height, and width may vary.
A quick twist will detach the base so you can fill or clean out the central hollow chamber. Place in a sheltered spot near a shrub or large plant. You can place it on the floor or higher up if you have a spot that won’t be disturbed so ladybirds, lacewings and other beneficial insects can overwinter or hibernate safely.
