Common Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris)

Perennial.
Height: 10-150cm
Flowers: June to October
The Toadflax is related to Snapdragons, both of which are bee pollinated, you can spot quite a hefty bumblebee land on the lower lip of the flower to force it down to open and crawl inside to receive it’s nectar reward.

Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus)

Annual.

Cornflowers are excellent for allkinds of pollinators and flower for a long time. Once the flowers are over allow them to go to seed as birds like Goldfinches and small mammals love the seeds.

Cowslip (Primula veris)

Perennial.
Height: 20-30cm
Flowers: April to May
Tiny beetles, bumblebees to brinstone butterflies love the Cowslip flowers, it is important spring nectar for many insect species.

Meadow Cranesbill (Geranium pratense)

Perennial.
Height: 30-70cm

Musk Mallow (Malva moschata)

Description: A tall perennial with large rose pink petals.
Height: 40-70cm
Flowers: June to August
The old cottage garden standard with scented leaves and flowers that are attractive to butterflies and moths.

Oxeye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare)

Perennial.
Height: 30-90cm

Inside the yellow disc on each flower are tiny yellow flowers full of nectar, the white ‘petals’ are called ray florets and they surround the composite yellow flowers. Together these create a large flat platform for pollinators to land, feed and rest.

Red Campion (Silene dioica)

A perennial with rose pink petals.
Height: 20-60cm
Flowers: March to November
Red Campion is an ancient woodland indicator which means areas of woodland that have been around since 1600 in England and Wales, and 1750 in Scotland. It love woodland edge and hedgerow spaces and provides a valuable source of nectar for many pollinators.
