John Chambers Wildflower Seeds Cornfield Annuals Wildflower Mix
This mix is the kind many people think of as a wildflower meadow but are actually plants that previously enjoyed living in our arable fields where the ground is disturbed each year which encouages the seeds to grow. This mixture contains both annual and perennial species and a lovely mix of colours from the flowers.
Contains annual and perennial British Native Wildflower species including:
- Meadow Buttercp
- Corn Chamomile Corncockle
- Cornflower
- Corn Marigold
- Pansey
- Field Poppy
Coverage – 1.2sq. metre depending on how densley the mix is sown
Sowing Times – Spring or Autumn, sow directly where they are to flower for best results as some species prefer not to be moved.
Flowering times – May to September
Plants from later spring sowings will flower later than described
Wildlife value – As many in this mix are annual species they have a mainly nectar use for pollinators rather than catapillar food plant or shelter.
NB – Corncockle is beautiful but toxic when eaten, please don’t ingest any parts of this plant.
Strong brown paper packet that can be recycled or composted. All sowing instructions and aftercare are on the reverse of the packets.
