Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discovery as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Which payment option should I choose PayPal or Stripe?

Both companies are secure payment processors, however some people have funds or their cards registered to PayPal and prefer that method, others would rather just pay directly by card in which case either Stripe or Paypal are suitable.

When do you take payment for my order?

We take your payment as soon as you confirm your order at the checkout.

Can I buy a gift voucher?

Not yet, but we are planning a gift voucher/gift card option for the future. We can provide a coupon in the meantime, if you are interested in being able to buy a coupon please let us know.

Packaging and Recycling

We take the ethos of reduce, reuse and recycling very seriously. It’s one simple way we can all help wildlife and natural spaces.

Delivery through the post needs good strong packaging and where possible we use biodegradable, recyclable and or reusable materials to package your items. We try hard to reduce single use plastic but some items come from our suppliers packaged in this kind of plastic. We are trying to reduce this as well.

You may receive your order in a reusable packaging with a separate bubble wrap pocket inside, please reuse this packaging where possible or you can recycle both of these with other plastic bags.

We use paper envelopes, cardboard and paper wrapping too where possible, all of these can be recycled though council recycling schemes.

We will try and obtain padded envelopes that can be seperated from the bubble packing inside, the bubble packing can be recycled along with other plastic bags, check to see if your local supermarket offers this service. We sometimes reuse those we have received as well as new padded envelopes. These are harder to recycle but can be reused for packaging, some eBay sellers do use them so it is worth advertising them to your local community (make your address unreadable before reusing or giving them away to be reused).

Greeting Cards and the Environment

All our greeting card ranges from Christmas to everyday can be recycled in the council waste or in a compost bin. We do not sell any card that contains glitter, glue or foils as these are not recyclable. Our range from the Eco-friendly Card Co is made from 50 to 100% recycled board and envelope, have compostable packaging and is printed in an eco-friendly manner with Green Energy.

Do you have a Store?

We sell online through this website, we also sell online through eBay. We no longer run on Amazon. On occasion we may have a local stall to support an event but these are few and far between. We don’t have a bricks and mortar store so we can keep our costs down.

Can I contact you?

Yes, it’s easy to contact us through our Talk to Us contact page.

Why Don’t You Have a Sales Like Black Friday & Cyber Monday?

We have a best price policy year round so our prices are the best we can offer at any time you want to buy. This means we never inflate prices in order to drop them at a later date so we can’t participate in the large sales with big price drops.

Big sales also encourage over purchasing and pressure buyers into buying something quickly rather than with thought. This is not good for the environment and therefore not good for wildlife, it’s not good for our customers pockets either, especially in the current financial climate. We don’t want to be preachy about it, most of us love a bargain, but we’d rather you came to us when you genuinely want something rather than because we have an inflating and deflating balloon pricing.

That’s not to say that things are never on sale or we never have a promotion. As a small retailer we tend to run sales on individual items if we are at the last of a line or items that have a time limit like calendars or are perishable like bulbs and seeds. Our sales and promotions are more 10% reductions rather than 50%, but they are genuine sales and not an inflated price drop pretending to be a bargain.
